So I had a 980 and was getting around 50fps in wow and I upgraded to a 1080 and I'm still getting around the same fps. I have done a fresh install of windows 10 just for the sole purpose of me getting a new gpu and i'm also getting an i7 7700k tomorrow, I have an i5 6600k right now. I'm only running at 1080p Also in games like gta v i'm only getting 50 fps at 1080p. What could be the problem, with all the benchmarks i've seen with the 1080 gta v and wow should be getting around 100fps.

Check all the settings in GTAV. If grass density is set to Ultra that will kill FPS. The same goes with frame scaling. Just turn that off. Otherwise its going to render at a higher resolution and down-sample to your resolution. That kills. I went from 50-50FPS on a 980ti to about 15FPS when I tried using it.

For what its worth I always use ASUS Mobos for my gaming builds but find their software to be crap and uninstall it. I'm not sure if that is what could be causing the issue. If their GPU software is anything like the Mobo stuff, I'd try something else like Afterburner or Precision, though I've never used GPU tweak.
