So recently I upgraded my GPU to an rtx 2070. Ever since, the experience has been pretty pleasant, I've been able to run a bunch of high demand games with good fps, but there's a problem. Some of the games that I play don't fully utilize my GPU and CPU. For example, I started playing the Arkham Knight again, but whenever I play I always get around 40% to 60% GPU usage and like 40% CPU usage. Now I know that my CPU usage isn't always going to be very high, but I don't understand what's going on with my GPU. When I compare my performance to videos with the same GPU, they get 100% GPU utilization and they're games run way better. Another game that this happened on was rainbow six siege. My performance would be about the same, no matter what the graphics settings are. Let's say I play at 1440p with the lowest settings, I would get somewhere around 110 to 120 fps with my GPU utilization floating in between 40 % and 50%. So I think that maybe if I increase the graphic settings it'll utilize my GPU more, and it does, but it still stays around the same fps range. I decide to lower my resolution to 1080p, and the GPU utilization decreases but still it has similar performance. I have the latest driver and bios for my system, I also double checked if my fps was capped or something, it isn't. The memory of the system has come to my mind since it's only 8gb and not 16, but I don't know if something like that could cause such a huge bottleneck on my GPU. If anyone knows of a way that I could fix this issue it'll be greatly appreciated.
