My ping is really high whenever I start a game then i sit for about 2 minutes and it goes down to almost 10. My download speed is really low its 800 kbps. I was getting 1.8 mbs until the power went out. I also never had 10 ping it always had been 30+ its nice to have 10 ping but i don't know if i call my ISP they will change it back and i wont have the nice ping. I don't know much about internet at all please someone help out. Im guessing in games my internet rises like it starts out as 10 kbps until it gets to like 800 kbps.

In order to rule out issues on your end, you should first make sure you're on the latest BIOS update for your motherbaord. Then make sure you're on the latest version of your OS(if you're on Windows 10). Then try uninstalling and reinstalling your NIC drivers, in an elevated command, i.e, Right click installer>Run as Administrator and then see if your issue changes.

If you've got a router that is an intermediary between the ISP and your PC/system, then you should mention the make and model of the router and see if it's got any firmware updates pending.

Once all of that has been done, you can then contact your ISP about the issue.
