Low resolution CPU

Hello, have to decide which cpu to get. Running a low resolution screen 1368x768, so im looking for a decent cpu enough to support new games. Considering that resolution is low, got r7 370 recently and thinking about which CPU to get, was thinking about some i5 and i hope its gonna be enough.Any help?

Got some gigabyte motherboard with 1150 socket. But the question is, will the i5 and that gpu will be enough for this resolution for newer games?

Heck yeah! Every Haswell i5-4xxx processor is ranked Tier 1: http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/cpu-hierarchy,4312.html
The i5-4xxx can keep up with any single-GPU gfx card you can buy today. The little R7-370 won't even make it work very hard ;-) You should get great frame rates with high-ish settings at 720p.

As games get more demanding, upgrade the gfx card. The Haswell quad core won't need to be changed.
