Low volume and static/buzzing/distorted sound

I didn't turn on my computer for about a week and today when I logged on, the audio was so low and there's a static/buzzing sound when you play an audio. I've tried reinstalling the audio drivers and looked it up on google but got nothing. Anyone got any ideas?.

your headphones arent plugged in all the way 🙂

I plugged it in all the way in. I even tried both front and back audio jacks

UPDATE: I am using the MSI Z97 Gaming 5 motherboard that has that audio boost thing. I don't know if that has anything to do with this problem.

run some more tests, do you have the problem with a different headphone for example.
did you recently install new drivers or something

I actually tried other headphones and it doesnt work.

maybe reïnstalling the latest mobo drivers will fix your problem

I already tried it on different hard drives.
