The problem is that I can not use lower right portion of my screen (above the windows bar - the bar itself is working). I discovered it few days ago and thought it was just a bug. Then I tried to use facebook with browser and that part of the screen was not working at all (not clickable, well clickable but no effect). Restarted laptop but it still remained. Didn't bothered about it. Then next day got a white strip where that area of screen is not working, thought it's a bug (usually similar things happen to me daily but when I move the cursor over it usually solves), restarted and the white strip is gone. Today I tried to move a folder on desktop to that area and I get a block sign. When it happened, no new programs were installed which is strange.

Any solutions to be suggested?
And if no solutions found I'll reinstall windows (which I don't really want.)

Thank you for all of you in advance.

Solution
Its Origin.

I had exactly the same problem for days. Noticed it after playing FIFA 17 demo. Isolated it to Origin. Closed Origin, dead zone went away.
It isn't really a solution, more of a little update. My pc crashed today (bsod) with some error related to memory/space. From now on there is no blocked portion of the screen. Also by accident I have formatted my secondary sdd the night before the crash (that ssd was used for games only). Still don't have a reason for that bug happening but will reinstall my windows just to be sure.

Update : Did clean reinstall of windows.
It still happens.
I usually play BF4 (Battlefield4) and then after it will happen.
Then when I try to restart my computer I get "No bootable device" error. I Ctrl+Alt+Del restart it and if I get lucky I'm in. But sometimes it takes 3-10 tries with different restart types to get into windows. And I have 2 SSDs (second SSD is not showing up in BIOS, never ever, it is in dvd drive slot with adapter.)

It is laptop just in case........

This is a bug that was introduced with the anniversary update of windows, I think its tied into the banner notification area as that is where they show up.

You are 4th person in last week I have seen this happen to.

I would post a question about this on http://www.tenforums.com/ and if you get a answer, please share it here as I would love to know whats going on.

My only idea is turn off notifications. The problem doesn't happen to me so I cannot guess how to fix it. Its not a system problem as far as Win 10 concerned as running SFC /scannow doesn't fix it.

should be fine after this, probably just a bug
(edit:it din't work for me you can try it if you want to)

Solution
Reckonist answer is 100% on point.

Close Origin and the "dead zone" will be gone.

As for the second issue , "no bootable device", I believe I should open another thread.

Thank you all for the help. Have a nice day.

Had this same problem come up and it Really messed up my gameplay in starcraft 2 since I couldn't click in the section to build things.

Reckonist is 100% correct on it being Origin's fault. I did nothing but search, read this forum post and then close Origin and the problem is gone. Most likely a bug with their beta program. Origin and Uplay are just poor rip offs of steam in my opinion.

Thank you i was having the exact same issue untill i closed origin like you.

Thanks so much been having this issue since bf1 launch :)
