Lowering Ping in Online games

Hi guys. I come here needing help on how to lower ping in online games specially the Battlefield series. I live in California and I've got a pretty decent download speed of approximately 35-36 Mbps. I've got Brighthouse internet service and we're paying for only 30 Mbps. So any suggestions here?

UPDATE: I forgot to mention, ping in Battlefield varies from 90 to almost 200. Sometimes, it goes up to 999 and my character don't even move.

Here's my speedtest:

Your speedtest ping of 24ms is great for a 'wired' internet service.
There will be people who get lower, but theres nothing you can do on your end to change that.
Switching from wifi to a wired connection could reduce that by up to 5ms.

The fact you are getting 90-200ms on BF servers, and not on speedtest makes it obviously a BF server issue.

I see.. I am using powerline internet. So do you think it could be that?
Also, it's only using the 2.4 Ghz bandwidth instead of 5 Ghz bandwidth.

Do you think I need to get an ethernet card that can utilize 5 Ghz bandwidth?

EDIT
I completely disregarded that last sentence haha. It must be then. This sucks!
