lpt1 redirect to USB

Hi guys

sometimes I'm feeling bloody old, but it happens that I still fight with
some bloody old DOS programms, which print to LPT1 and of corse you can't
change this.

The printers nowadays have just a USB port which make it difficult to print
from this apps.
ther is a nice DOS command named MODE which I know since DOS 3.# or so we
used it to redirect the LPT port to any serial port, but for any unknown
reason the guys from Microsoft didn't enhanced this command to redirect the
LPT port to USB, which easily would fix that problem.

So if anybody know an other way to redirect the LPT port to USB, I would
appreciate if get this solution.

First you have to install the printer and share the printer.
In Network environment, you could use the batch program:
NET USE /DELETE
NET USE LPT1: \\ComputerName\Printer
In order to print from DOS in an offline environment like the stores, you will need to do a couple of things.
1) Install the Microsoft Loopback Adapter
