Question LSI Authority doesn't work

I own an ASUS ProART X870-E motherboard, for which a Broadcom 9500 8i controller was suggested. I bought this item to create two RAID 1 array on Win 10.
I upgraded Windows to the last version and also upgraded the controller firmware. I installed all the drivers and then the LSI Storage Authority Software.
Unfortunately the controller put all my disks (SSD and HD, what a bad idea) in a JBOD array that i can't change, as the Dashboard does NOT show the "Configuration" option.
I am a final user but I'm not a company employee so I am forbidden (!!!) to contact Broadcom support.
What can I do? I'm getting crazy, I've been stuck on this issue for a month...

Can you not boot into the controller's BIOS utility and create the volumes there ?

Unfortunately my AMI UEFI shows only the controller' setting, without any option to change them.
I was so happy with the IOCrest and HighPoint controllers, where I could change all even during the POST!

Have you tried using the "run as admin" option on the LSI software ?

Yes. Nothing happened.
I have the doubt that I have skipped a step, but which one?
Or is the software incompatible with something?

No idea. I have never seen that specific hardware.

Make sure your motherboard splash screen is not active. during the bootup there should be a screen with a bunch of writing as the broadcom card is booting that will give you an option to boot into the card, something like CTRL + R or CTRL + C. in there you should be able to setup the drives.


I've only used LSI cards but any drive that is attached to the card has to be setup inside the card before windows can see it.

The link I provided above says that is not an option with the 9500 series cards.

Excuse me but the Broadcom 95xx PCIe 4.0 MegaRAID and HBA Tri-Mode Storage Adapters User Guide says that a 9500 8i controller can create RAID arrays type 0, 00, 1, 10, 5, 50, 6, 60.

Do you suggest me another sofware to create a hardware array? I'm using also Linux, which doesn't accept software RAID.
Maybe I got the wrong software? I tried to use this: Windows_LSA_8_7-008.007.011.000.zip after upgrading the firmware with 9500_8e_Pkg_P34_MIXED_FW_BIOS_UEFI and the driver with ItSas35_Windows10_11_Windows_Server_2019_2022_2025_P34.
