LucidLogix Hydra Chip

So in case you haven't heard about this chip, the company LucidLogix is going to be releasing a chip called Hydra. It would basically replace X-fire/SLI and let you combine any GPU from the same manufacturer. so 4870 x 5870, or 6600GT x GTX 280 100% possible.

Plus they claim their chip scales two GPU almost linear. This means if you're using one 4870 and you're getting 30fps and you add another 4870, you're fps will go up to about 60fps! I've been watching this thing for a while and cant wait for it to come out.

So I was wondering what your guys thoughts on this chip are, and how things might change if it really lives up to all they say.
