Lynksys waG120N RANGE

Hello! I bought a Lynksys Wireless WAG 120N ADSL2+ Modem Router. But the range is very limited. I don't get signals in 2 rooms away. Mine is a 1500 sq ft house but signals are available in only 30 ft near the router. Is it like that with this modem/router or am I having a problem. Please advice

Experiment with channels -- if you can detect strong neighbouring wifi networks choose a channel 5 stops from the strongest.

Relocate cordless phone base or video sender away from the router.
