M.2.2280 SSD in Asrock extreme9 - possible PCI-E bottleneck?

Thinking of adding a M.2 2280 Intel SSD 600p 512GB SSD to Asrock Extreme9 MB.
SSD is PCI-E 3.0x4
MB has PCI-E 2.0x16.
I also would have to buy an adapter card.
Would the SSD's estimated 1775MB read speed and +500MB write speed be affected by only being in a 2.0x16 slot?
This would be the Win7 and program drive (not storage).

I'm assuming this is the 990fx extreme9 and not the z97 (which has an m2 slot) so your plans are destroedy before you even get out of the gate. The 990fx is not uefi nor is it nvme boot capable.

yes it is the 99fx extreme9.
It does have the UEFI bios. I haven't found anything about it being able to boot to nvme yet.
