Hi. My SSD decided to "konk out" yesterday after spending money on some used parts to upgrade my computer (oh joy).
Since I'm going to upgrade later on to a brand new build (maybe next year) I was wondering if I could use a PCI-E controller card with an NVMe SSD as a bootable drive on my mobo or should I go for a standard SSD?

My specs are:

Gigabyte 970A-DS3P
FX-4300
8Gb 1866Mhz
Asus Radeon R7 250 1Gb GDDR5
Toshiba 2Tb 7200rpm HDD

Thanks in advance for any help.
