I recently ran into a problem that my M.2 drive disappeared after a Windows Update. It was in the CPU slot, but switching it to another slot made it reappear. Then I updated the chipset drivers, and put it back in the CPU slot and it continued to work. To push my luck further, I decided to update the BIOS. In the Q-Flash screen, all of my other drives were listed with the name of the manufacturer, but the M.2 (Samsung 990 Pro) was listed as "unknown device." I could still view the folders in that drive on the Q-Flash screen. Does anyone know why this would happen, and whether it was related to the disappearance issue.
I guess I should check whether it is still listed as unknown now that I have updated the Bios.
Thank you.
