Before you give me a link to a $6 screw, or a $10 ten pack of screws....

Where can I walk in and purchase just ONE of this type of screw for the sub $.10 it should be?

I would even be satisfied if I could purchase one for under $1 or so and have it shipped for a few dollars instead of $7-10....like say under $5 for the screw and shipping just to save me the time of going out....

What is a little confusing is the screw for the M.2 drive card is a M2 metric screw (just a coincidence the two are similar), 3mm long with a 3.2-3.3 mm wide head. Any hardware store should have one close. If you need a standoff there is this. https://www.amazon.com/GutsParker-M-2-Standoff-Screw-Drives/dp/B06XBG1783 The difference with the length of the screw has to do with the construction of the standoff. One, like I linked has a shorter screw because the standoff screws into the MB with the drive card on top and the screw threads into the standoff. There is another style where the standoff is not threaded (like a thick washer) and the screw passes through the standoff and threads into the MB, however the norm is the 3mm screw that screws into the standoff.

Fastenal is mainly used by professional mechanics, industrial mechanics, fabrication shops and other professional types of businesses. They mainly deal with larger accounts and keep places like fabricators with their stock, stocked. They have fairly decent selections in their store fronts however a lot of what they sell has to be ordered in. I'd say in a small post office sized Fastenal they carry more fasteners, in stock, than any normal sized Lowes, Ace hardware or Home depot, by probably double.

They are like the Grainger of nuts, bolts, screws and other fastener related hardware.
