Question M.2 no longer showing in bios has OS on it.

Hey all
So my pc has stopped recognizing my m.2. It also has my OS on it. I have tried to plug it into another slot and into a other computer via usb enclosure. It works in the other computer. The motherboard it's not working in is the ROG Crosshair VIII Dark Hero. I recently updated bios about a month ago and I didn't see a newer update.

I do not have another NVME drive that's not in another pc. I have tried reseting CMOS. Originally upon building the pc I tried to have the NVME in the second slot but it didn't work there.

The NVME only shows up on the other pcs devices manager and not file explorer.

Does it show up in the BIOS on the CH VIII?

It won't show up in the other PC's file explorer until you assign accessible partitions on it a drive letter in Disk Manager.

hmmm that's bad news since the NVME does work in another PC .

It sounds like something's wrong with the CH VIII since you've tried it in two different M.2 sockets and it worked originally. But then, one M.2 should be fed by the CPU and the other by the chipset so that's a bit strange that both fail simultaneously. It could be both M.2 sockets are powered by the same VRM but that's not a certainty so before condemning it try to get hold of another NVME to see if it will work.
