M.2 pcie compatibility

Will any pcie m.2 ssd work with any Mobo that has a m.2 slot? I was planing on getting msi Z270 GAMING M5 and MyDigitalSSD BPX 80mm (2280) 480 GB but I don't want to get it and find out it's not even compatible .

It's not officially supported , the ones listed are guaranteed to be compatible.
