M.2 running at half speed

I got a mydigital 480GB m.2 nvme drive.
And I'm using a z270f motherboard and a i7 7700k processor.

The drive is only getting 1.3 GB read and .6 Write. Exactly half of what it should

It's in the m.2-1 slot, pcie mode is enabled in my bios.

Not sure what's wrong

If I had to guess maybe it's using pcie 2.0 instead of 3.0. But not sure how to check or change what the m.2 uses

Check page 46 of your manual (Sec 1.6.7). Make sure M.2 bandwidth is set for x4 not x2. You will lose access to some SATA ports in x4 mode.

480GB MyDigitalSSD shows as being a SATA class drive, not NVMe.

It keeps reverting back to 2x, every time I leave the bios, I am saving the changes each time.

I'm using sata ports 3/4 for hdd, so that should not interfere

It is the nvme version

Using crystal disk 64bit
Thoughts?

unplug the HDD and try it with just the M.2
