I have an Asus B540-Pro with an AMD 5-3600 and the mb has two M.2 slots. I have two M.2 drives and they both work in M2_1 however neither is seen in M2_2. Before I send the mb back is there a BIOS setting (or anything) I need to set for it to see the 2nd M.2 slot?

I'm pretty sure there is not however if I don't ask....

thanks all

Only ONE of those M.2 ports will support a SATA M.2 drive.

1 x M.2 Socket 3, with M key, type 2242/2260/2280/22110 storage devices support (SATA & PCIE 3.0 x 4 mode)*2
1 x M.2 Socket 3, with M Key, type 2242/2260/2280 storage devices support (PCIE 2.0 x4)*3

WD 500gb 3D NAND SATA SSD m.2 2280
Torosus TN8 120gb

I thought if the drive psychically fit then it would work. Page 1-3 in the online manual has alot of info on M.2 slots. I cannot make much of it, I got a headache just looking at it.

thanks

Thanks alot. I really appreciate it. What SSD drive is not SATA? I think I would like a 2nd one again however I'd rather not buy it wrong. If you have a moment could you link to a drive on Amazon. That would assure I do not waste precious funds.....

thanks again
