ram: corsair vengeance lpx 16 gb (2x 8gb)
storage: crucial mx500 + WD Black SN850X
psu: evga 600 watt bronze 80+ non-modular
OS: windows 10 home

I've had boots where the drive shows up, but most of the times it doesn't. Drivers are up to date, it's properly installed, properly fixed in place, and yet still most of the time it won't show up and i'll have to continuously restart my pc until it shows up. I should also add that when this happens the m.2 isn't detected even in bios. Is this just pointing to a faulty piece of hardware? It's still within return range and would like to return if that's the issue.

What is your currently installed motherboard BIOS version?

What is the EXACT model of your EVGA 600w bronze power supply, and approximately how long has it been in use/service?

There are firmware updates available for both the Crucial MX500 and WD SN850X, have you applied them?
