Question M.2 speed seems low

I have an ASRock B450 Steel Legend and I have a Samsung 990 and 970 Evo and when I use CrystalDiskMark my 970 runs right at 3500MB/S read but my 990 runs at 1619MB/S and I know my motherboard is Gen 3 and that my 990 isn't in my M.2 ultra slot (ultra slot couldn't read it) but 1600 seems low to me

If the 990 Pro in the M2_2 slot, then you're running it at PCIe3.0x2 speeds.

What BIOS version are you working with for your motherboard?
