I purchased a WD Green 120gb M.2 SSD to run the OS off of on my asus tuf fx505dy laptop. However, it's not showing up in the BIOS or on Windows 10. I've tried updating the BIOS and also installed the WD SSD dashboard to no avail. Anyone have any idea how to get it to show up?

Solution
The WD Green is a M.2 SATA drive.

The M.2 port in that laptop is for a PCIe/NVMe drive.
"128GB/256GB/512GB PCIe® Gen3 SSD"

That drive will not work.
