Question m.2 ssd only shows up sometimes in windows

hi, i got a pc around black friday, and since then my ssd has been causing me issues. every time i turn on my pc, there's a very high chance that my ssd will just completely fail to be read by windows. I am actually using a HDD as a boot drive at the moment specifically because of this. I already took it to a local repair shop, and they said that it was completely fine when they had it. i just want to know if i'm gonna need to buy a new ssd/rma my current ssd.
ssd: WD blue sn550 1tb m.2
motherboard: asus TUF b550 gaming plus
os: win10

turn off fast boot in bios?
what the cpu? make and model of the psu?
