[SOLVED] M.2 Upgrade HP ENVY 750-124 Desktop PC

I would like to upgrade SSD to M.2 NVMe on my desktop. The spec sheet says I have a ( M.2 socket 1, key A ) slot.

Can you anyone please provide instructions how to upgrade, specifically placement. Do I need an adapter?
I know how to clone the SSD drive, I cloned my HD to SSD last year.

Would like to utilize the M.2 socket 1, key A slot if possible. Looking to use Samsung 970 Evo 1T.

Please advise.

Sorry, but no. The M.2 port can be for things other than SSD's.
The M.2 A key is for a WiFi card.
Not a drive.

You can still use one in a PCIE slot adapter but you may end up dropping your GPU slot down to x8 mode so check your documentation if you are considering it.

Unfortunately, the PCIe slots on that are severely limited.
1 x PCIe 3.0 x16, and 1x PCIe 2.0 x1.

So if he has a GPU in it, that PCIe slot option is right out.
