Hi friends,
I have had an extremely weird situation with my PC. I have been using my custom build desktop PC for 3 years with 0 issues. Yesterday i just wanted to unplug all peripherals from case in order to clean up the case exterior and my desk. Here's what happened when i turned the pc on,
1. When i plugged the power cord and turned the pc on, it went into rapid on/off loop without even BIOS screen. Power comes, 2 seconds and then goes off.
2. In order to stop the loop, i plugged out the power cord. Turned the PSU switch off. Then i plugged the cord again. This time PC started normally but then this error message appeared.
3. I chose to load default values, then BIOS screen came and i set default values (I never did manual OC, all i had was Gameboost and XMP turned on). After a restart, during boot procees it gave message " Gameboost enabled, make sure to disable it before a bios update bla bla"
4. Then i finally logged into my windows 10 os and went on with my day, then suddenly pc totally froze. Turned it off and when i tried to reboot, blue screen error came.
10. Then i managed to get my HDD back on the system but M2 still didnt appear. Even after i re-installed windows on my Sata SSD, tried again plugging out all SATA devices with M2 ssd installed only but no success.
11. Latest attempt below, with BIOS set to UEFI and all SATA drives disconnected from MOBO. I tried installing Windows 10 on to my m2 but as you can see, M2 never came back in the system...

- Thereafter, every restart attempt was actually turning the pc off and then on which normally doesnt happen during a normal restart.
- Then i went into BIOS menu again, saw that my M2 drive (Corsair MP510 480gb PCIex) disappeared along with SATA disks.Tried every possible configuration ( Switching from LEGACY+UEFI to UEFI, CSM to UEFI, back to CSM, secure boot enabled to disabled etc) but nothing showed up
- As a last resort, i unplugged the PC and removed BIOS battery for 10 mins then i put it back. BIOS was reset but this time my mechanic HDD wasnt showing up. All i was able to see my Samsung 860 evo SATA SSD. M2 drive and WD HDD not visible
- I tried switching M2 slots, sata slots, plugged out all sata devices with only M2 installed on MOBO but nothing happened.
- While doing all this, i realized that my DRAM voltage was set to 1.198V with default XMP on, which was normally around 1.30V and it was the issue causing PC to shut down when i tried to restart normally.
10. Then i managed to get my HDD back on the system but M2 still didnt appear. Even after i re-installed windows on my Sata SSD, tried again plugging out all SATA devices with M2 ssd installed only but no success.
