For a MOBO that supports M2, it says it works with the 110mm sticks (which i havent seen hardly any off, its all 2080).
Does the length also determine the max speed?

This board says "Fast Onboard Storage with NVMe PCIe Gen3 x4 110mm M.2 (Up to 32 Gb/s)"

https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128997&ignorebbr=1&nm_mc=AFC-C8Junction&cm_mmc=AFC-C8Junction-PCPartPicker,%20LLC-_-na-_-na-_-na&cm_sp=&AID=10446076&PID=3938566&SID=

Does this mean it doesnt work with the other sizes? its slower? Why are these things always so damn vague?

Thank you all!

Solution
You are good.

M.2 is a physical size spec, it has nothing to do with speed.
It is the sata vs. pcie spec that determines speed(sequential transfer rates)
pcie x4 devices will be the fastest.
Look at Samsung 960 evo or pro.

The motherboard will have several mounting holes to screw down the end of the m.2 device
In your case, there is an added hole for mounting a 110mm device along with 80, 40... sizes.
Actually, it's very specific, and states the following. Should work with any common M.2 2280 device.

1 x M.2 connector (Socket 3, M key, type 2242/2260/2280/22110 SATA and PCIe x4*/x2 SSD support)
* Actual support may vary by CPU.
1 x U.2 connector
* When the U.2 connector is populated, the M.2 connector becomes unavailable.

I suspect it will work with all of them, but it says its fast with 110 specifically and says nothing of the smallers sticks. Does this mean its not as fast with the smaller sticks? Has anyone confirmed this?

The speed is my concern.
