Solution

That's different,i thought you were buying it.

The r9 270X is about that price,but it depends on the country you live in.Here in Holland i can get a R9 280 for under €200 and by that time maybe even a gtx 760.You probably will have to look at these three by that time.

It is.
Maybe a new case for better ventilation,that card runs hot,but you could first try with your current case.

With going from nvidia to amd will you have to thoroughly get rid of the nvidia drivers before installing the amd ones,with the next two programs should you...

For the measuremenst of the psu,

150 (width) × 86 (height) × 140 mm (depth) (5.9 × 3.4 × 5.5 in)
From here,
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ATX
The depth may wary a little,just make sure that the cables fit between the psu and the dvd drive,maybe even put that drive one place lower so you could stash some cables on top of it if it's possible.

Yes.For the ram,if the motherboard and o.s. support it also yes.Make sure it runs on the same speed.timings and voltage as the one you already got.Check that with cpu-z.

I saw something about flashing Graphic Card, http://www.techpowerup.com/forums/threads/hd-4870-x2-bios-flash-leads-to-no-power-cord-error.186202/

I dont need to flash anything right? Just plug the Graphic card, PSU and install the drivers right? I'm going to assemble my new equipment on next Wednesday or Friday.

I personally don't no.Just make sure you don't wear anything that easily gives static charge like wool or fleece (things like that) and before starting discharge yourself by touching something bear metal or the ground pins in a wallsocket.Or even work on your socks.

Hi Vic

When Im going to put the new graphic card like you said I need to:

1 - Remove the old graphic card drivers;
2 - Put the New PSU;
3 - Put the new graphicc card and connect it with the power cables;

4 - Put the DVI cable on the graphic card? (The monitor will be able to put image without the drivers? (That's my question));

Install the card first if you are worried.

You could install the card without uninstalling the driver first if you wanted but the primary concern is that with it being a 4xxx card that there might be driver issues and you can't install a new driver until the card is installed.

Windows has basic drivers. Just make sure that you download the video card driver before you uninstall the old video card's driver since it will be hard to browse the web without the video card driver installed.

Quoted from Vic 40
For the latest drivers for that gpu look here,
http://support.amd.com/us/gpudownload/Pages/index.aspx
system=desktop
product family=radeon hd series
product=radeon 4xxx series
o.s.=yours to pick
->step 5

Steps 1->4 seems to be right.Like pondering says has windows standard drivers on which the card will work.It might be better to use vga->vga if gpu and monitor both have it untill drivers are installed.

Remove the drivers in safe mode.You could use one of the next for it or just via programs and parts or device manager,
http://www.guru3d.com/files_details/display_driver_uninstaller_download.html
or
http://treexy.com/products/driver-fusion
if you remove via the device manager or programs and .. could you use these to scan for bits of the drivers that are left behind.

What do you recommend me to do? Remove the drivers with the programs you gave me or in device manager?

So I need to put the monitor connected to the graphic card right? Not on the onboard graphics?

via the device manager (uninstall) would be fine,i would scan for remains after that with for instance ddu (=guru3d).

Yes,connect it to the 4870x2,not the onboard.

You choose the third option,

uninstal the current and previous drivers and shutdown the computer with no rescan (for installing a new gpu)
Make sure you selected (but probably is already done) the right drivers to uninstall= nvidia or amd.
When the system has shutdown can you take it of the power and change the gpu and psu.
