I have an Asus Maximus X Hero. I have been googling instructions on updating the bios and in every case, the instructions have read that I need to rename the bios to m6H.cap. So I downloaded the latest bios from Asus for this motherboard. When I extracted it, it came with the bios file and a bios-renamer file.exe. I ran the renamer and it automatically renamed the file M10H.CAP. Why did it do this if I am supposed to be renaming it to M6H.CAP?

Here is a link to the instructions I plan to follow to update the bios for my board:

Solution
M10H.CAP is correct.

From ASUS website, under "Show more description" for the latest BIOS update it states:

"Before running the USB BIOS Flashback tool, please rename the BIOS file (M10H.CAP) using BIOSRenamer"

I don't know where you've seen M6H.CAP
