Mac or PC?

I have already decided that for a laptop, I will get a macbook pro. But for a desktop, I can't decide on whether I should build a PC or get an iMac. I will not do any gaming at all. I will be using the computer for stuff like photo and video editing and music production. Please help?
If I get a mac, I will get a 27 inch iMac and if I get a PC, It'll have a quad i5 processor, 8GB RAM a 1TB HDD and an EVGA GTX 760Ti GPU. The mac will have similar specs. Any thoughts?

I would recommend getting an i7 if you're going to be video editing/music production since the extra threads will help rendering/encoding faster. If you are using CUDA supported programs, definitely stick with Nvidia cards. More RAM would be optimal for video editing since rendering eats up alot of CPU power and as much RAM as possible to make it faster.

Choosing from Mac or PC is more about the programs you plan to use than the performance of the system itself. If you prefer Garage band and iMovie, then go with Mac. If you prefer Media player, go with PC. If you prefer Adobe programs, they're compatible with both PC and Mac.

In other hand, a custom built PC will be MUCH cheaper than a iMac. Your PC will also be MUCH easier to upgrade since hardware compatibilities are wayyyyyyy more convinient for PCs than for All In One iMac.

I use Final Cut Pro X, Logic Pro X and FL Studio. FL Studio is the main problem :/ It's a windows only Program. Image Line is working on a mac version. Hope they do it fast.

As williamcummins said, it depends what you want as programs and upgradability. Most of the programs you listed seem to only run on Mac's OS X :

We won't know when FL Studio will be out for Mac but from the look of it, you may be better off with Mac unless you want FL Studio.

You can also use a partition inside your HDD to install a Windows version. That way, your mac can either boot into OSX or Windows. Ok you all are going to hate me now but I'm not really into the idea of dual booting, I hate it to be honest. I was looking into the adobe suite of programs like premiere pro and after effects. Since they're cross platform, you guys don't think I would have a problem do you? and as the DualShock said earlier, I don't mind waiting a few extra minutes for my video to render, so i5 is ok for me. I'm not a professional, I'm just an enthusiast haha. So my final decision is; 15 inch MacBook Pro and custom build pc. What do you guys think?

Custom built PC will have a better performance/price ratio, it will be more 'future proof' since the hardware upgrade is easier, but will be bigger than a laptop.

Macbook pro is a nice product. I had one for 3 years and love it. I used it for 3d modelling and image rendering. It's small and easy to carry around, you can use OS X and Windows on the same machine and looks awesome. The problem with it is the heat dissipation and has nearly no upgradable parts. Therefor, it won't last you as long as a custom built PC.

get a macbook pro. You can play also fruity loops on mac os, you just need a little app that contains the wine emulation software, and then it works as if native (well probably some 3% slower but not enough to notice it: the only problem is to read the instructions to install it and then you are ok with it. ) If you ever bought a notebook you should know too that although having sometimes higher temps, MacBooks are still the more reliable ( this especially is true for every apple mobile, you pay them more but they last two times the comparable plastic pc or android equivalents ) I had laptops for one year then it was not only physically but also electrically gone and a MacBook pro from 4 years and no problem whatsoever beside some dust in the fan that applestore repaired free.
