I have Mac tried Windows keeps saying my operating system is not compatable

Hello,

You can install a Windows on MAC only from year 2006 on. You will need at least a Snow Leopard OS and a legit Windows XP/Vista/7 copy. For more information please check this:

You must know exactly what OS and MAC model do you have, for knowing the best compatibility.

I have IMac bought parallels and windows 8.1 a few months ago come to install today but can not find activation code. Went to Microsoft site to ask them but i only get your system is not supported.

When you bought that MAC you should also receive the licence and the activation code for Win 8.1. The Microsoft site is right, because their online scanner see only the MAC OS. More likely Microsoft will ask you to buy a new copy of Windows anyway.

You should ask for the activation code from the company you bought the MAC (assuming they installed a legit copy of Windows).
