Macbook Air 13 or Asus Zenbook UX305 ???

I wanted to buy a laptop for my college needs..since i am into IT field...the laptop needs to run..all progrmng s/w...i also need it to be light..so i shortlisted the macbook air & the asus zenbook u305...i prefer the zenbook cause..i have been using windows always...n the zenbook has a 256 ssd...but in india..v get the 4gb ram model on d ux305..will it become sluggish..over time..???
I also like the macbook for its performance n battery life..and its trackpad which is great in comparision to the zenbook..but it has a non HD or Retina display..and will the128 gb be enough??? Please guide..TIA..

The screen on the Asus is much better. Will 4GB of RAM be enough? Will 128GB of storage be enough? These are really only questions you can answer.

If the UX305 is a bit subpar for your tastes, you may wish to look at the UX303. It's a little heavier, but that makes it about the same weight as the MBA.

If it is only between these 2 laptop, get the air. The storage will depend on what programs you use.
