Macbook Pro has very slow internet speed whilst all other devices are fine

Hi there guys,

My Mid 2014 M.Pro has very low internet speeds, max of about 10mb but generally less than 5mb.
Other devices in the household such as a desktop pc, iPad, iPhone etc. receive around 80-90mb download speed (100mb broadband plan)

I know that this might be an issue with my Macbook, but whats also weird is that whenever i try to stream or download something on my Macbook, the speed goes down to the 5-10mb on every other device even though downloading a file shows a speed of about 500kb per second- this does not happen vice versa.

Any help would be much appreciated

try moving your macbook closer to your router and see if that fixes it

Wow can't believe I forgot about this, my apologises. I figured out it was the OS nothing with the router, I simply went back to Yosemite for a while then installed El Capitan with all the new updates and everything was fixed again seems like Apple picked me out as a test subject to try out one of their network bugs
