Excuse me, I meant Word was developed for Macs first. I agree that Macs won't make it most office settings but I didn't know that's what was meant. It seems that the Outlook syncing and such isn't up to snuff but I know of a few facilites where the only windows machine is a dedicated mail server and outlook email is accessible by anyone of the Macs through Remote Desktop.
Also, desktops computers have been in offices ever since they debuted, but it's only in the last 10 to 12 years that everyone has had one in their home, using them to access the internet. I mean everyone. For the home, an Intel Mac will do just fine for most users.
