Please keep it to 1 thread.
Hello, I traded my PS4 Pro for a 27-inch iMac yesterday, and I had to completely wipe the thing, as there was data from the previous owner of the iMac. Now I have an issue. When I try to reinstall macOS from the recovery menu, the installation gets to "about a second remaining", and then goes to "about -405 seconds remaining". Why is this? How can I fix this?

Hello, I've posted here yesterday, but I've really gotten no response, so I'm gonna try to add as much info into this as I can.

I've got an Mid 2011 27inch Intel iMac, which had/has MacOS Sierra on it.

I wanted to format the hdd, as there was a bunch of old data from the previous on it. So I googled how to format, and that part went just fine. Then came the re-install, which for the love of god I can't get to work. It always goes to negative time remaining, or spits out an error.

I've tried making an USB from my Win11 PC multiple times, with different MacOS versions, but to no avail. The network install thingx also doesn't work, so I'm stuck here with basically a huge paperweight, but it worked before, so idk what is wrong.
Please help. Thanks

I JUST MADE IT WORK
USED BALENA ETCHER AND A HIGH SIERRA DMG
