Mad Max crashing on splash screen without error message

Hi guys,

Recently bought a legit Mad Max steam key off amazon UK and the game doesn't work at all. I start the game and the splash screen loads, but it just freezes and crashes to the desktop with no error messages or anything after about 7-8 seconds.

Downloaded the actual game twice, reinstalled all the drivers on my laptop and disabled any background processes that could interfere.

Repaired, reinstalled Direct X and C++ twice. I tried changing the time zone to China (helped for cracks) , then London, then Spain (where I live) to no avail.

Couldn't find an option to turn off Intel Turbo Clock in my BIOS weirdly.

Starting the game in windowed mode didn't help either.

I contacted WB support about 3 days ago and they asked for a bunch of system info files. They haven't replied since. Will update if they do.

GTX 980M 8GB GDDR5
HM87 Chipset
128 GB OS SSD + 1TB HDD

What does that mean? You bought a key but are using a crack for the game?

Hey vrumor

I meant to say like just in case the game thought it was cracked and by changing the time zone it would work.

Finally got the game working now after Monday's patch.
