Mafia 3 lagging

Hello

Recently a lot of games on my PC have started to lag for some reason and I have no idea why. This might be due to a few performance upgrades, ie a new graphics card. One of the games that have started to run poorly is Mafia 3. I could run it on any settings right now, even on the lowest and it would still run as bad as it being set to highest. The game would then run at about 30-35 fps when driving and or being in the city.

My specs are;
AMD FX-9590
16GB DDR4 RAM
GTX 1070

Any help is appreciated

FX 9590 ouch, i would say thermal throttling or overheating the motherboard.
Download and run OCCT and check your CPU temps

For some reason we always meet on those 9590 threads .
