According to my map, there's a room with *no* corridors to it. Do
I need to find a scroll or ring of teleportation to get into that, or
should there be another way?

Thanks,
Terrence

I suppose one could always pray to get out. Hmm...I wonder if a
sword will work for digging...

If I wanted something bad enough, I'd dig with anything I thought
had a sharp enough point. I've heard of prisoners digging with stranger
things. But it apparently doesn't work in nethack, eh? The one thing I
miss from my Dwarven archaeologists; they always had their own pick-axes.

Assuming it's a 2x2 room, then it's a vault. The easiest way (if you don't
know the "trick" to teleport in using some "standard teleporter") is to dig
a path using some pickaxe or mattock or use a wand (or spell) of digging.

Is the room 2x2 ?

Then you should indeed try teleportation or something else to get in and
you'll have a nice surprise if never seen that before. Remember that if
there's no way in, there's also no way out, so you might as well try to
find a way in that will be reusable to go out before you starve to
death...

But there is, in fact, a way out. It may cost you, though.
Better to make your own way out.

No, you will not starve if you weren't starving when entering the room;
there's always a way out, though it is costly.

I wouldn't rely on that.

NHinRL, but would you really try to dig with swords?
Not a good idea.

LOL, yes, might even be made possible in NH. But in NH you would starve
in the meantime. ;-)

No, it doesn't.

Nah, you won't starve. Someone'll be by to let you out, eventually.

You might even find a magic closet that will take you there.

Nor would I. I think praying only works if you can't move at all
(trapped in a wall, surrounded on all sides by stone).
