Yeahp, it simpy adds the convenience you have with your MacBook Pro's trackpad to the Mac Pro and iMac. It's a large surface for gesturing but the trackpad on your 13" MacBook Pro remains second to none. There's no benefit for you to get a Magic Trackpad unless you're planning on getting an external monitor and keyboard and want to compute with your MBP's lid closed.
Thanks what is the correct way to use the track pad with your wrists? Straight or at a 45 degree angle? marv

Oh, I don't think there's a "correct" way. I'd say whichever way is the most comfortable for you.

I place it directly to the right of my wireless keyboard and just use there...but I don't use it all that often really. I use my Logitech Performance MX mouse most of the time.

Someone wants to trade me the newest ipad 2 wifi for my 7 month old mbp plus 200 cash involved. Good deal or not? thanks Marv

Thanks for your response back to me. I guess when you reach 67 years old your sense starts to crumble.I just don't like the i pad to small and no Ethernet Connection.I guess I will suffer with this arthritic pain.

Heya Marv, sorry I didn't respond sooner. Well, if you carry your laptop a lot the lighter MBA would make a difference...2.9lbs vs. 4.5lbs. Also, the screen is higher resolution on the MBA. However, if you're going to lose a bunch of money upgrading I'm not thinking it'd be worth it. The 13" you have is a nice laptop, but I understand the concerns with arthritis. 🙁 ...I doubt the MBA would help much with that though.

Thanks I am sheer frustrated with this arthritis and am willing to do anything to keep my computer.I thought the MBA will be good for me? I really never carry the laptop at all.

Well, the MBA is a nice laptop but you already have a 13" MBP which is nice. Unless you really want that 1.6lb weight savings and the 1400x900 resolution (vs. 1280x800) I don't see a lot that would make it worth it...again, especially if you'd lose money.

Someone wants to buy this in Halifax Novia Scotia and je has only a Paypal account which I do not have. What would you do? Thanks

I'd have to be paid before I shipped anything. Its pretty easy to create a Paypal account but I'd recommend seeing if you can get the same money from someone a little closer.

Have you thought about a trackball? Logitech has a new one that's laser based. I use it, my wife now uses it, and my mom picked one up as well. In my personal experience nothing really beats them for doing regular things on the computer with minimal strain on your body.

It's called the M570 and they sell it at newegg or your local retailer. You can catch them for 35 USD on sale, and yes, they're mac compatible. Older models work just as great if you don't need the extra accuracy from the laser.

He wants it shipped before it is paid into this pay pal account sounds like crap to me.The new MBP came out today what do you think about that? thanks Marv

I'd stay away from that. New MacBook Pros look good...they always seem to look good to me.
