Why? These were various niche driver maintainers. Like the T7XX 5G device is a MediaTek item. Based on the attitudes of people on forums like this one, Intel's altruism has netted zero respect. Why would they continue it?
If their Linux driver team is gutted, that’s going to be bad for enterprise. You think only the hardware listed in this article will be affected? In that case I’ve got a bridge to sell you in Brooklyn. Making sure your hardware works with other hardware isn’t exactly altruism anyways. Every device listed in this article probably got driver support only when a large Intel enterprise customer called up and said “We can’t make make X work with your CPUs in Linux”.
