So I have this headphones:

and this cables:

I have a MSI B150 Night Elf Mobo.

What I'm trying to do is to make the microphone on my headphones work on my pc. So I bought the 3.5mm Female to 2 Male Headphone Mic Audio Y Splitter so that I could plugin my 3.5mm male from the headphones in the 3.5mm female splitter and plugin the mic and audio part of the splitter to the pc. The problem is, the audio works fine but the mic barely registers, if I amplify the mic to +10db, i can hear a bit of sound using the windows 10 recording app but it's still barely audible. is there anything i need to setup? Please help. thanks.

UPDATE:

I tried the original 3.5mm cable of the headphone but it still doesn't work.

i'm sorry if i don't have a higher res for the original jack but i don't have the original with me now, grabbed it online.

the original jack looks like that. the gold plated one doesn't though. it only has 2 black circles. i did try the original jack though and it still doesn't work. also, i tried the replacement, gold plated on a laptop and mobile phone and the microphone works fine.

hey so i have the original jack below

both the purchased cable and the original one has TRS tip. I tried inserting a mobile headphone i have which is TRRS into the splitter and both audio and mic worked. i probably need a trs to trrs adapter rather than the TRRS female you suggested?

i'm not sure if this is a stereo or not but it does have a microphone..it works on my laptop and phone.. 🙁

would definitely work.. still need to buy bluetooth adapter. for pc
