Making a new build, not sure how to update BIOS

Hey all, my mobo (ASRock Z170 Pro4) will not support my cpu i5 7600k right away, just wondering if one of you can tell me how to run a BIOS update first thing or show me where I can find out how.

Click on the + under the "How to Update" column to determine your preferred method for updating the BIOS. If you have BIOS P7.00 or later, then your 7600k will work without the BIOS update.

You cant if it wont post. You'll have to buy a skylake to update the bios. Then put this CPU in

If the CPU support list is correct, it should work with the Kaby Lake, since the Motherboard ships with BIOS 7.00.

Why does that matter? I figured it out. This is assuming he just bought the mobo like you assumed when you told him he needed to buy a previous generation processor to update his BIOS.

Well it wil. Just because it needs BIOS 7 it doesnt mean thats on the mobo. When you buy it

Most H110 / Z170's will need a BIOS update to support a Kaby Lake
