Making a new build. Should I use my 6 year old PSU?

Currently using a PC I built 6 years ago and I'm wondering if I should reuse the PSU. It has been going strong for 6 years, and I don't think there are any problems with it, but I don't know if it's a good idea.

I would say you should be ok, just give it a good dust cleaning.

No problem. You might have to change it depending on the graphics card(s) you want to use for your new build.

generally its not suggested since if a psu fails there goes your build.

if it was originally a very high quality unit i would say that you would probably be more than okay however in this case i think you'd probably be better off getting something else.

your choice. i am not saying you will have issues just saying that alot of people dont recommend it.

Since still working, why not. If enough for the graphics card... why spending on a new one?
