making a particular folder password protect on external hd

I want to make some folders on my toshiba 1tb external hard disk password protected. Can anyone help me with this..??

You can first download a Folder locking software like folder lock(free version), install it on your PC, Lock the desired files on HDD, then copy the setup to your HDD. If the other PC doesn't have the software installed, you may run it directly from HDD itself.
Looks a bit mechanical I know, but that's the best fool-proof and trusted solution I can think of.
