I bought an OWC Mercury Electra 6G in the 480GB variation about a year and a half ago for my Mac. Back in February of this year, I built a gaming PC. It occurred to me just now that I might be able to convert this into a boot drive for my PC instead of continuously getting annoyed by my HDD's speeds. Does anyone have experience with jumping platforms with an ssd? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If you can connect it via normal SATA data and power connections, then it is just another SATA capable SSD.
Install the OS on it and use as desired.
