Making Pc For friend.

My friend [strike]anted[/strike] wanted me to build a PC for him his budget was $1000 but i convinced him to go to $1200. Any Advice on the parts or how i can make it better or other comments or suggestion's.

Looks good to me but a 250GB SSD isn't enough these days. Some games are 60GB+

If he will be using the PC for gaming the i7 is overkill. If he is not using applications which benefit from additional cores (i.e. rendering/photoshop etc) the i5 is a better option. Games utilise 4 core maximum (with couple of exceptions). I always feel (with a gaming build) the money is better spent elsewhere (i.e. better gpu or faster storage)

Could save some money and buy an i5 and spend the cash saved on either additional fans or (more importantly) more ssd storage. You will get a better performance increase with an M.2 boot drive than you will from an i7 (over an i5).

Other than that, looks like a good build. What resolution your friend using? If he is only interested in 1080p then I might suggest a different GPU also (however I do like the 1070, have one myself). If I was gaming at 1080p, personally I wouldn't buy a 1070.

That's doesn't have to be an issue as sensible users with an SSD commonly install a secondary storage drive (HDD) for games & large footprint applications.
