Mapping error after renaming admin account windows 8

Earlier today I tried to rename my admin account on my pc using windows + r. After doing this I cannot really do anything such as Google chrome. When I go to control panel and try to rename it , clicking does nothing and no account shows up on the right where it used to show up.
Please help

What other things can't you do, besides using Chrome? Have you had OS glitches like these before?

Try undoing the changes you made in netplwiz, otherwise use a restore point.
