[SOLVED] Mass Effect Legendary Edition.

Don't think I'm doing anything wrong here, but this game just refuses to download and install.

I got my copy on activated on the EA app (previously Origin), this is also where I'm trying to make it download and install.

I have been in contact with the EA support, only thing they say is that you need to wait for them to resolve the issue.

Purchased my key from Instant gaming, got a nice discount, witch makes this purchase nearly fair in price compared to other games, since we have a horrible exchange rate here in my country.

If anybody has a workable solution, please post here, this is the only game on my pc with this issue.

If you've already talked to EA and THEY said you need to wait for them to resolve the issue, then apparently there IS an issue that they are aware of and you need to wait. If EA can't resolve their own download issue for you I'm not sure what you think anybody else is going to be able to do? Keep pestering them. Like, daily.

"You guys get this figured out yet, because I'm still waiting on you to do so" and if you get no love ask for your problem to be escalated to somebody who CAN resolve it. Insist on it. That is your best avenue. Nobody else can really tell you anything about why. Might be an invalid license issue, and if so, then all I can say is this is why you buy directly from the big boys and not through shady key sites.

I've been doing that, not per say pestering them but this has only led me to playing less and less and more waiting and not noticing any result of my or their actions.

So I thought I'd post the issue here, and find out if anybody had another way that might resolve this faster so that we can get back to gaming and be gone with this constant tinkering.

Anyhow somebody on the EA support pages noted that using a vpn allowed them to start the download of mass effect legendary edition and at least get downloading underway, but like you know me I'm not really one for trying out all kinds of random fixes witch in turn might and possibly will cause alll kinds of other issues later on just to do away with one error.

But I'd sure like to read what people are attempting, should make for an interesting read whilst we wait for the techs at EA to sort out their services.

on mine ea that game doesnt even open, error 500 server encountered mysterious error...lol

hmm other games were borked aswell, had to uninstall ea, and install it fresh, then it still acted weird, so had to signout and log back in, now all fine

I'm still busy downloading AC Odessey on steam now, reattempting ME:LE afterwards.

how much did you pay for mass effect? you can get lots of games from xbox on windows subscription which includes ea play subscription and uplay subsription

first month is just for 1$, then its just 10$ from next month onward...which is low compared to game prices included there

About 21 euros, witch is about R400.00 here, since this is not a new game too me, I did not get it at full asking price witch would be R999.00.

These subscription plans EA & Xbox has now days is something I could not reap the benefits of yet if ever because for unknown reason the isp's here are keeping everybody on low bandwidth with quite a high monthly cost still tied to it, and if that doesn't change sometime soon nobody here is going to go for such subscription gaming plans simply because one would not be able to utilize it all fully.
