Hello,
I had to do a fresh reinstall of Win10 Pro on my SSD (C:\ drive)
I have a D: data drive where I store most of my files, including my own "Documents" and "Downloads" folders.
I was having problems with some of the files/folders on the D: drive after the reinstall. I went into Properties/Security/Advanced and noticed on many of the folders the owner was an active user, but a long GUID looking number (which I am assuming is related to my previous installs username).
I changed the owner of a few of them to the "administrators" group, of which I am a member.
2 questions:
1- is there an easy way to "mass" change the owner where it is the invalid user GUID?
2- is it better to change the owner back to a specific user (myself) or a group, ie. Administrators (of which I am a member)?
Thanks in advance!
