Matchita ujda770 does not recognize blank cd

Hello,
I am running a toshiba laptop with a matchita jda770 dvd/cdrw. when i try and write a cd i am told that i need to place a blank cd into the drive. I have tried several times and different blank cds. I have tried many recommended solutions and none have worked. Where can i get the drivers for this unit

This question has been asked several times in the past week. If the optical drive does not read or recognize the disk, chances are the unit needs replaced. Check the Device manager for signs a system driver may not be installed. Hint: Use Google to find the Toshiba laptops online product page at Toshiba support for a download of the laptop's latest system drivers.

Where can i get the drivers for this unit
