Matisha dvd driver problems

Hello,
Having problems with Matshita Dvd drive not being recognized by o/s and in the device manager I get a yellow marker advising the device not working properly- it is being recognized in the device manager but o/s only identifies it as a cd rom. uninstalled and reinstalled drivers but no success. Any suggestions or ideas?
